Christmas Support Fund - This Is Now Closed
Essex County Council are committed to supporting communities most in need and that have been adversely impacted by the Covid-19 crisis. Following on from their summer support and half-term emergency funds they are providing additional funding so that foodbanks, food pantries, community organisations and voluntary groups can provide food support.
This funding is for the provision of food for families and individuals from across Essex County Council Local Authority areas. It is designed to help those who are most in need and adversely impacted by Covid-19 pandemic.
Applications will be accepted for up to £2500. Please ensure that the amount you request in your application reflects the local need, and the number of hampers that you will be supplying and families supporting. You will need to tell them how many hampers/ packages you expect to be able to provide for this funding over the Christmas period. Each hamper should be around £15 maximum.
Essex County Council are keen that everyone who needs it, has access to the support this Christmas fund offers. They will be sharing details of organisations who receive funding through this grant, so that families and individuals are aware of where they can go for support.
All successful applications will be required to complete an Essex County Council monitoring form.
