Annual General Meeting 2021
The EALC cordially invite all association members to our Annual General Meeting, to be held virtually on Thursday 23rd September 2021. The meeting will take place over Zoom, and begin at 10:00 with the waiting lobby opening at 09:30. It is very unfortunate that we cannot meet face to face this year, however, the health and safety of our members must take priority. Despite this setback, we invite everyone to attend this important virtual meeting and encourage councils to bring their full entitlement of voting members (each member council having an allotted two voting members).
The EALC recognise that whilst town and parish councils can only hold physical meetings, as an association we are still able to hold virtual meetings. With such a large number of people in attendance, we believe that members would prefer a virtual meeting this year due to the current Covid19 uncertainty which is prevailing at this time. Although it will be a virtual AGM, we are still very much looking forward to seeing you all on 23rd September, in the hope that we can remain safe and well and see each other face-to-face next year.
As per the EALC constitution (section 6.02) (f), any proposed motions must be submitted to the CEO at least 21 working days in advance of the meeting. Consequently, submissions must be made by 12:00 noon on Tuesday 24th August 2021.
